On 17th January we are delivering our Risk Management Principles course in Taunton, as part of our partnership with SW Councils. The course is open to everyone, but there are discounts for local authority staff.
The course will provide you with a good overview of the principles involved with this critical process of risk management for any organisation. The majority or programmes and projects that fail, do so as a result of a failure to management risk effectively. The course will provide plenty of practical application of the key concepts to enable you to work more effectively.
The course will include:
- Introduction to the OGC Management of Risk framework
- The risk management lifecycle
- Roles and responsibilities for risk
- Identifying and analysing risks
- the components of risk – threats, events and effect
- Risk Management Planning
- Developing contingency plans
The trainer will be an experienced risk management professional, with experience of real time risk management and accredited as an Management of Risk practitioner.
The course is accredited by the Centre for Change Management and carries a NFQ Level 4 (foundation degree) award for those that wish to prove they can apply the principles
