Every year across the globe, many men grow a wild and captivating ‘Movember’ moustache in the month of November to raise awareness for men’s health and especially prostate cancer. It is said that less than 50% of people like moustaches, however 100% of us enjoy people looking ridiculous for a good cause.
This year Aspire Europe decided to get involved with this fun health awareness tradition that contains a serious message. It is the cancer which affects most men in the UK, 1 in 6 men will get prostate cancer during their lifetime and 1 in 36 men will die from prostate cancer. It is paramount that awareness of this issue is amplified, and hopefully with campaigns like ‘Movember’ this can be achieved.
Here at Aspire Europe our ‘Movember Ambassador’ Tom Ford has led the way in growing his not so captivating moustache (the top lip caterpillar) to raise money and awareness for men’s health. He with the support of his colleagues at Aspire Europe has raised hundreds of pounds to help promote men’s health. Hopefully many other organisations can join and promote health issues. Well done Tom.
