We have received the following news about this event:
“2014 National Conference and 21st Anniversary event Women in Project Management
25th September 2014, Grand Connaught Rooms, London
Join us at the 2014 National Conference and 21st Anniversary of Women in Project Management for inspiration, professional development and networking. Female project professionals are essential to our economic future. The Office for National Statistics say the number of women working in the UK has grown by 26% since 1971 and the Women’s Business Council estimate that greater economic participation by women could add more than 10% to the UK economy by 2030. Established in 1993, Women in Project Management addresses the development and promotion of women working in project management environments, and also the development of the project management discipline through the contribution of women.
We are delighted to announce our keynote speakers are Baroness Susan Greenfield and Dame Stephanie Shirley. There will also be a variety of professional and personal development activities with Susan Heaton-Wright (Executive Voice), Valerie Mitchell (Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games), Dr Jacquie Drake (Cranfield University and Cool Leadership), Dyan Foss (Senior Vice President CH2MHill) and others as well as plenty of opportunities to network. The theme of the conference will be the essential contribution women make to project management, both now and in the future.
In the evening, we’ll be talking with Vanessa Vallely (founder of We Are The City network). The Funny Women Players willshow us how to exchange dry corporate jargon for a comedy journey about being a woman in the world of project management. Be prepared to share your stories – the amusing, the outrageous and the downright dangerous.
