Aspire Europe have entered a team into this year’s APM (South West and West of England) Project Challenge.
The team consists of Sam, Tom, Alice and Ellie. We are raising money for the Tag Rugby Trust, TRT is a skills training charity that uses tag rugby as a training tool to support and enhance its training syllabus. TRT delivers a hands on syllabus in a wide variety of fields including rugby coaching, media & journalism, first aid, small business related skills and many others. The TRT training is ideal for the young leaders that are part of the bursary programme. As well as training, TRT sets up Community Clubs (mini rugby clubs) for the trainees to continue their development in a practical manner by managing and growing their own clubs. The idea is that TRT offers a hands on vehicle for the young leaders and trainees to practice their training.
Team Aspire are planning to provide the TRT with a variety of different support mechanisms. Firstly Aspire Europe will create a range of training products that can be used across Africa to help with skills training in the field of project management which is not currently part of the coaching syllabus. As well as this Aspire Europe will provide funds, resources and equipment to help TRT. This will be achieved by numerous fund raising activities and provisions from the local area such as a sponsored skydive being done by two of the team members, Alice and Sam. We will also be raffling off a wide selection of prizes donated by a range of organisations both locally and nationwide and fundraising at a six nations game in Cardiff. Finally we are offering our suppliers and clients an opportunity to gain Aspire products such as eLearning and podcasts for donating a certain amount of our cause.
