Aspire Europe appoint Ed Brown as Aspire Assess Director

We are very pleased to announce that Ed Brown has joined us from HKA (Hill International).

He is taking responsibility for our Aspire Assess brand, which incorporates our P3M3® assessments, assurance and advisory services, including the supporting  frameworks, methods and tools that go with them.

Rod Sowden, Managing Director of Aspire Europe explains “Having Ed onboard is great news, he brings a completely different view, skillset and perspective on the world with a buildings and physical infrastructure background and a track record in very large consultancies such as Aecom, which is invaluable to us at this stage of our growth”.

Ed completes the new Aspire Europe management team for the time being after the appointment of  Chris Moore as the Aspire Accelerate director in May this year, and the arrival of Penny Lister and Neil Kay to manage the Aspire Academy services.

If you would like to find out a bit more about  Ed, check out his LinkedIn profile, where he has written an open letter about why he is joining the Aspire Europe.

Solving the Riddle of Integrating Assurance

Integrated Assurance is a very popular topic at the moment; however, most organisations have a fragmented approach to how it is achieved. To have an integrated approach requires multiple layers in the organisation to function coherently. This article explains how to achieve this integration.

The three tier approach clarifies how the models (and terms) fit together:

  1. Organisational capability – assessed using P3M3 and identifies your systemic strengths and weaknesses which can be addressed
  2. Programme and project viability – assessed by independent or peer assurance to provide an objective assessment of the likelihood of success
  3. Gate reviews – line management decisions on whether to continue to invest in the idea
