As regular readers of our email bulletins/promos and our LinkedIn followers will know, we recently ran a question competition to win a free signed copy of Project Leadership (Third Edition).
The question was:
Is the development of leadership skills necessary for?
A) Only junior programme and project professionals – more senior professionals will naturally develop these skills
B) Only senior programme and project professionals – more junior professionals should focus solely on the process of delivery
C) All programme and project professionals whatever their level and experience
With the answer being C.
Thanks to all those who entered, you all got the question correct. However there could only be a winner – So congratulations to Stephen Evans who has won a free copy of the book! You will be contacted by one of our team shortly.
A few weeks back we posted about the release of Project Leadership Third Edition, co-written by our Academy Director Donnie MacNicol.

After a gestation period longer than that of a baby elephants we are only a few weeks away from having copies of our book ready to send to family and friends for Christmas! It has been a rewarding if at time challenging process with the most important outcome being that Sarah and myself are still speaking and want to work together!
I will be sharing some of the key nuggets from the book over the coming months (the first one having been posted in February, details of which can be viewed here). The book is a rich source of materials which will be used as the basis for masterclasses, workshops and courses. In fact we have already tested some of the materials such as the Eight Lookings and Project Culture Matrix™ with clients, feedback I am glad to say has been excellent.
You can find further details including testimonials (one included below) here, https://www.gowerpublishing.com/isbn/9781472452801 as well as, if I can be so bold, details of how to purchase a copy. More news to follow.
This book is excellent. Not only does it address the new realities of project management but it also gives superb guidance as to how to deal with them. Too many textbooks are focussed on the narrow mechanistic and procedural aspects of projects, but this one gives broad and refreshing insights on how to really excel in an increasingly complex world. Read this and join the new generation of project leaders!
